Welcome to the Future Tense Blog!

Future Tense is a 15 minute short film by filmmakers Brant Hughes and Javier Badillo, shot in Vancouver BC, Canada. The film is currently in production.

The story follows Neil, a type-A ambitious workaholic from Vancouver, who recently moved with his girlfriend Kelly - a loving, family oriented girl - to Manhattan, in search for a brighter future.

Things go awry when, obsessed with career success, Neil's relationship begins to fall apart.

Only when he wakes up 150 years in the future and realizes everyone, including Kelly and the world they live in have become the deadly epitome of speed and productivity, does he need to stop and rethink if this is really what he wants from life. But is it already too late?
